A story that began in the mountains
1949. In the very heart of the Caucasus, in the mountains of Ossetia, in the village of Hardisar, Nikolai Khugati was born. Surrounded by the harsh beauty of the mountains, he found his calling — to capture this world on canvas.
A successor of the “Repin school” (through his teachers’ teachers, Makharbek Tuganov), my father devoted his entire life to art. After a studio fire, only a little survived — but the spirit of creation remained.
2025. We connect past and future. Using 200 of my father’s original paintings as the foundation, and the best AI tools we could find, we created 10 000 unique digital canvases — with the artist’s personal curation. Each piece preserves the original’s DNA, while gaining a new life in web3.
