Nikolai Khugati (Ossetian: Хуыгаты Къостайы фырт Николай) is an Ossetian artist, born on October 3, 1949 in the mountain village of Khardisar, Java district, South Ossetia.
In creativity, he prefers painting and drawing, working in various genres ─ portraits, landscapes, still lifes, genre paintings and more. His artworks are presented in the Tbilisi Republican Museum, as well as in private collections.
Nikolai spent most of his creative life in Siberia, the Irkutsk region, the city of Svirsk.
Education
In 1970 he graduated from the Tskhinval Art College named after Tuganov M.S..
Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1984 (Union of Artists of Russia ─ since 1992).
